I'm sorry you didn't see our response but we did answer your question and it was posted on the 14th October.
It’s fair to say that smart metering will have extra benefits for those who generate their own energy but, unfortunatley, we're unable to say exactly who or where will get smart meters first.
The roll out is a huge project and we're still planning, but this is expected at the end of 2012. We’ll start installing through pilot schemes to ensure we’re in great shape for spring 2014, when the mandated roll out begins.
