Well, the reaction so far has been really positive, with an outstanding 90% of customers on the trials telling us that they want to keep the smart meter and display unit after the trials end!
The biggest benefit by far is the real savings they can see themselves making. The more information customers are given about their electricity use, the more opportunities they're finding to cut it down. And the fact that those savings also reduce their carbon footprint and so are good for the environment is an added bonus!
Customers on the trials also really like the fact that the display unit is separate, can be put in different rooms and is easy to read. In fact, over 60% of customers are still checking their monitors every day.
