There has been considerable media coverage over the last few years about businesses who have taken advantage of consumers who wish to offset their carbon footprint, yet provide very little evidence that they are having an impact. We currently do not supply offsets for residential gas as the market is still unaccredited.
The energy industry regulator Ofgem is clearing up the confusion regarding the supply of renewable energy and carbon offsetting. We expect to have guidelines very shortly with new products available by the end of this year.
