24 Aug: If I, as a customer, am in credit on my account after actual meter readings, do you refund the credit or lower my direct debits? Reason for asking is that I am £350 in credit with Scottish Power and they still insist on taking £67 per month on direct debit.

We would reassess your account every six months to make sure you’re paying the right amount of money for the energy you are using. If after 12 months your account was in credit by over £60, we would automatically refund this to your account and we would also check to see if your direct debits needed to be changed. If your monthly amount needs to change, we will let you know beforehand.
