30th Nov: I moved house 14 weeks ago and am entitled to an annual discount for taking both gas and electricity and paying by direct debit. How will you know when to apply this discount as I have been allocated a different account number? I was promised that this discount would be applied just as though I hadn't moved house at all! Will you just quietly forget that I have been with you for four years and not apply the discount till my new account has been running for a year?

No, you won't miss out on your discount Alex. If you've been paying for your gas and electricity by monthly direct debit continuously for 12 months, you'll still be entitled to your annual discount. If you move house, your new home is supplied by npower and you continue to pay by monthly direct debit, your anniversary date will be transferred to your new property, providing your previous account is closed. If your new property is not initially supplied by npower, as long as you switch suppliers at your new address within 90 days and again, your previous account is closed, your anniversary date will stay the same as it was. Your discount will be credited to your account on the date of your anniversary and you'll see it on the first statement that you receive thereafter.
