If we assume you'll use on average, the same amount of energy as normal (and there has been no electricity or gas price changes), then your monthly payments should remain the same. However, if you begin to use more gas or electricity, then your payments may need to be altered to reflect this and make sure you don’t fall behind. The amount of energy you use and pay for can also vary depending on factors such as the time of the year, or even the home appliances that you use.
If we do need to change your monthly payment, we'll always let you know and give you at least 10 working days' notice. We'll review the amount you pay every six months to make sure what you're paying accurately reflects what you're using - and also make sure you don't fall into debt or build up a credit by the time your next reassessment is due.
