02 Feb: I seem to have a big credit in my bills but my direct debt has not gone down? Thank you.

Any credit you've built up on your account will be to cover your winter bills - when you're using more energy. As we're still in the winter period, we wouldn't look at reducing your payments just at the moment. The aim of any direct debit account is to have a zero balance at the end of a 12 month period. There'll be certain times of the year when an account could be in credit - normally summer or autumn when most customers use less energy - this credit is carried over to the winter period when more energy is used.
