You don't need to contact us before the work starts. Once it's finished, the company that installed your system will give you a Microgeneration Cetification Scheme certificate (MCS) http://www.microgenerationcertification.org/. To register for the Feed In Tariff (FIT), get an application pack by contacting our FIT team on 01905 340 646. Please then complete our application form, and return it to us, together with your MCS certificate. We're currently at the trial stage of our smart metering programme, and our smart metering microgeneration trial is fully subscribed. However, microgeneration customers will be included once the industry rollout begins, which by current industry timescales should begin in 2013.
