We’re really sorry but the advisor you spoke to, did not give you the correct information. We are definitely still accepting customers on to our social tariff, Spreading Warmth, and this is happening through a range of third parties.
We’ve been really successful in encouraging customers onto the tariff and we now have more than 100,000 customer accounts on it. We’re expecting to continue to increase this number but we want to do this in a more targeted way so we’re currently concentrating on referrals from a wide range of third party agencies, such as the Home Heat Helpline, Scottish Energy Assistance Package and roll out of the Eaga pilot, which will really help to boost the numbers of customers joining our social tariff.
