15th Dec: I am wondering if there is a special tariff for registered disabled people? I suffer from (among other things) neuropathy in my feet and lower legs so I'm not very mobile so need heating on all day.

Our Spreading Warmth Tariff helps people who are over 60, disabled, chronically sick, or have one or more children under 16, and who have a low household income. To see if you are eligible please call our Spreading Warmth team on 0800 9805874

There are also other ways we can help - you can register for our Warm Response Service, which offers extra services for people who are disabled, chronically sick or over 60 years of age. Applying for the service is quick and simple - just call for free on 0808 172 6999 and the team will be happy to help you. For more information, please visit the following link: www.npower.com/spreading_warmth/Content/Warmresponseservice/index

You may also be eligible for free cavity wall and loft insulation if you receive certain benefits - if you're unsure if you are entitled, we can also check your benefit entitlement for you.

There is also a government funded scheme called Warm Front, which concentrates on households at risk of ill health because they live in cold homes. If you need help paying for heating and insulation improvements, you may be able to get up to £3,500 from the scheme. To find out more, or if you're eligible, you can call them for free on 0800 316 2805 or visit their website www.warmfront.co.uk/index
