We pay different amounts of commission to different switching sites, but unfortunately it is not possible for potential customers to bypass the switching process and save money by coming to npower directly. The reason for this is that the commission that we pay to the switching site is similar to the amount of money we would spend in marketing (advertising, direct mail, sales promotions, etc) to gain a customer. Therefore it costs us the same to gain a customer through a switching site as it would if we made contact with them through marketing.
