13 Jul: Contrary to your comments on here relating to quarterly billing I have been advised by your staff that there is 'no way' to have a quarterly bill on a monthly direct debit and thus the £100 discount.

I DID have quarterly bills before my bill was put together but somehow I lost that right. Please explain why the information you give on here does not tally with the info I was given by your staff.

We're no longer able to send you your statements every three months if you pay by monthly direct debit. We took the decision to move to twice yearly statements as it makes it easier for us to accurately review your account and payments. People use different amounts of energy throughout the different months of the years and so accounts tend to go from being in debt (when you are using more energy) to being in credit (when you are using less). These 'peaks' are evened out at the end of the year to make sure your account shows a zero balance. If we took a look at your account at various times throughout the year, the information we would see could look misleading and cause confusion.
