29 Jun: Many companies offer an account review after one year and suggest the best plan for your usage. This happens mainly with mobiles. I think if you introduce a best plan for you people and let them change tariffs (after a year) they will love it and see you are trying to help. Not just giving best deals to new customers. You can stop the merry go round of people moving from one supplier to another. Company loyalty and customer loyalty will work

We are working in conjunction with OFGEM to look at the ways that we can provide customers with tariff information to help them make well-informed choices regarding their energy supply.

All bills now have comparative consumption data printed on them, helping customers to understand how much energy they have used, and how best to budget for it. We also communicate with customers in a variety of other ways to bring new tariffs to their attention, and all our bills include a number for customers to call to ask about new tariffs.

Identifying the cheapest standard tariff is very difficult in practice, as it depends on a number of factors including the customer's payment method, their level of consumption, and geographical location. In addition, individual tariffs may only be available for a limited period, which means that any data supplied could become quickly out of date.
