08 Jun: At what times do the 'day rate' and 'night rate' take effect?

Most of our tariffs have a standard rate per unit that applies no matter what time of day or night it is.

The exception is our Economy 7 tariff which offers 7 hours of low cost electricity at night – normally between midnight and 7am in the winter and between 1am and 8am in the summer. All the electrical appliances you use during your seven hour off peak period will cost less than half the standard daytime rate. During the day, all the electricity you use will cost slightly more than the standard rate.
