16th Dec: Hi, my son is moving into a new flat just before Christmas. He's been told that npower are the existing supplier of electricity to that property. What does he need to do or who does he need to contact to contract for supply to ensure that he has service on the day that he moves in?

If your son wants to stay with npower, he'll need to let us know he's moving in by filling in our online homemover's form www.npower.com/At_home/forms/homemover/homemover_step1.aspx?hmtype=isNew. On the day of the move, he'll need to take readings from the gas and electricity meters and call us on 0845 166 3166.

If you're son is unsure which supplier to choose, he can visit a number of comparison websites such as www.uSwitch.com.
