Cold weather payments are made for each week of very cold weather in your area. You may be eligible if you receive Pension Credit or income related Employment and Support Allowance. Incapacity Benefit and Income Support were replaced by the Employment and Support Allowance in October 2008.

Anyone who is, or will be aged 60 as of 5th July 2010, will be eligible for Winter Fuel Payments during winter 2010/11.
